Hotpoint LTF 8B019 CUK leaking heavily from door (but intermittently)

Hi there

New to the site but would be grateful for some help! Our dishwasher is not too old (only about 4 years). Recently it has started leaking – but I’m not talking drips; when it leaks it flows out like a tap has been turned on. The water appears to be coming from the corners of the door – seemingly first the left hand side then the other.

Even more frustrating is that this isn’t a constant leak – it just happens every few washes and isn’t predictable.

If I open the dishwasher door during a cycle when it has started to leak, water flows out of the door. I’ve always been able to open the door during a cycle before without any risk of flooding at all.

I can’t see any damage to the door gaskets (and assume that if they were damaged they’d only cause a drip rather than water to flood out?).

I could, of course, arrange for someone to come take a look. But it seems that it could almost be cheaper to just buy a new dishwasher than do that these days!

Anyone have any thoughts?? Any help appreciated!
