    Hello

My search for some reviews/opinions on some appliances lead me here.
In about months time I will have new kitchen fitted and I am searching now for appliances.
I have got already an oven, sink and tap so there is left dishwasher, hood and hob.
I am struggling with comparing hobs as it is hard to find anything more specific about them beside the obvious design difference and price:)
I was looking at black glass gas hobs:
    Beko HISW64222SB £116.00
    Russell Hobbs RH60GH402B £119.00
    Candy CVG 64 SPN £140.00
    Amica PHCZ6512 £170.00
    Baumatic BGG60 £200.00
    Bosch POH6B6B10 £213.00

So as you can see I went through different price tags (my budget is max £200.00) but should I go with the design I like (Hobbs or Amica) or should I splash more cash and go for “better” one like Bosh.
Is there a very big difference between them?

    Thank you for help

for my money would go for the Beko not too hard on spares if you need them and a 2 year warranty

R Hobbs would not go near used to be a good British but not any more

candy and hoover are 1 company these days so spares are ok but only 1 year warranty

Amica is polish, spares not too bad but you have to go direct think there is a 2 year gaurentee with these as well

Baumatic went bust and got taken over by candy but the spares are still very silly prices

Bosch are not too bad spares accessibility but can be dearer then some and 2 year guarantee same goes for Neff and Siemens
    Hope this helps

    Hello Dave

This is great advice it clears things for me; now I need to convince my wife that Beko is the best choice:)
So going further with my question I looked at dishwashers (£250-300)
    Amica ZWM428W
    Whirlpool ADP 301 WH
    Indesit DSFC3M19UK
SHARP QW-S22F472W (I always thought they made only TVs)
So the best choice would be whirpool due to the spares availability ?

Also for hoods I saw some nice ones but from companies that did not hear about before:
    KKT Kolbe
    Luxair hoods
I am assuming if something goes wrong I am left with just direct contact for the spares and technical assistance?

    Thank you again

Amica would not touch these days
sharp not seen one yet. but my opinion would be to avoid

indesit is now owned by whirlpool as is hotpoint and build quality has not been too wonderful of late

Whirlpool dishwashers used to be built by Bauknecht. but the ADP 301 WH UK looks like a hotpoint build so I would not rate it

look at Beko again assuming you unit is integrated. Top of the tree is Miele next down probably Smeg

Have heard of Luxair as I did some guarantee work for them some years ago. when you fir any hood take a close look at fitting instructions with particular attention to fuse size and if vented the size of the vent hose. If an under guarantee luxair hood had a hose under 5 inches and did not have a 3 amp fuse the guarantee was void

Sharp dishwashers are in the main Beko made. They will have a five year warranty if you register it with warranty solutions which make them a really good buy.

    Hi

Thank you for a ll the replies. It is interesting how many brands are owned by one company (same in food industry Unilever, P&G etc.)
I am looking for a slimline free standing dishwasher and I do not mind what brand it is as long it is decent.
Those models that I gave were all 250 when I looked at them and all had display and anti flood system – things that I looked for.
I will have a closer look into that sharp

    Thank you
