This machine is looking like it is going to be a bit of a puzzler, it will work perfectly on a wash cycle every time but when you put it on a dry cycle it will often run for about 2 minutes before it fails.
When the machine fails it will continue running the fan (and maybe the heater) but stops tumbling or activating the water valve and drain pump. Typically it refused to fail till I was leaving, I have metered through all of the components as much as possible (from the board end) and found no fault and the insulation resistance result is also good. I am the second company that has been called to look at this machine (joy of joys) and it appears that the drying module has already been changed.Does anyone have any experiance with this issue and know what it is likley to be?

I would be tempted to try and hook on another dryer element. Most of my puzzlers have been result of earth leakage on drying element which didnt show when tested cold.
other than that I would start isolating (disconnecting) various parts and seeing if the result changed.

Just to finish this off for future reference this turned out to be caused by one of the NTC temp sensors going intermittent (in my case it was the one in the front of the heater duct).
It was an absolute pain to find – it would meter out perfectly then after the temperature had raised a bit it would go open circuit and then come good agian after it got a little hotter (most unusual).
It looks like the default error state on this machine when it has a faulty sensor is to stop everything except the blower motor and it doesn’t display any codes.Jem
