I need to buy a new washing machine and the key requirement (I think?) is that it copes with being situated on a wooden floorboard floor. I know I should have a rigid platform underneath it but that unfortunately is not possible.

Someone suggested I stick with Bosch as a generally more robust build better suited to being on floorboards (and also said buy entry level as it’s ‘exactly the same basic build as the ones with whistles and bells’). He also said that higher spin speeds may put more strain on the machine. Problem is I’m just not sure that Bosch is indeed any more ‘robust’ these days?

I’m not bothered about ‘whistles and bells’ or higher spin speeds – I would so appreciate any suggestions or guidance you might be able to offer.
