Hi, I’ve just purchased a replacement water inlet valve for my AEG L16830 in the hope it will overcome some E10 errors I’ve been getting during the drying cycle. In replacing the part I’ve realised I need to remove an extension to the existing valve’s threaded inlet hose mouthpiece – however it appears to be some sort of 1-way screw system which has lugs preventing you unscrewing the attachment.

I’d upload a photo to illustrate but the forum only allows a 19kb limit on uploads and wont accept my OneDrive link?!

If anyone knows (a) how to unscrew the attachment, or (b) if it’s not possible to unscrew where to order a replacement I’d be most grateful.

    Cheers!

Thank for the dose of reassurance – I gave it some proper welly and it did indeed loudly SNAP unlocked, apparently with no ill effects to the connector! All looks good so far, many thanks! Ol.
