Cannon 10750GF gas oven strange noises from burner

Our cooker, which is a few years old, is working OK, kind of, but the right-hand oven burns strangely. It gets up to temperature OK but after being on a short while it starts making little soft ‘popping’ or ‘woofing’ sounds, or sometimes the flame whooshes or roars for a second or two, before going back to low. It seems to cook OK although sometimes I suspect it’s slightly on the hot side.
I took the burner out to clean it a few weeks ago as it had some spilt food on it and that’s when it started. There’s nothing blocking any of the holes that I can see and I’ve checked that it’s seated properly in its slots.
