    The rubber sealing strip round the door of my not-very-old Scandinova LEA 699W upright fridge has worn and although it probably functions OK it is rather unsightly. Comet’s spare parts operation (espares) says Scandinova won’t supply anything smaller than a new door at £145!
    Does anyone know of a cheaper way of replacing the seal strip?

    BTW advice on this site helped me diagnose the thermostat problem on this fridge, and also how to fit it. Thanks to everyone!

    You can get “universal” door seals which are not easy to fit and often prove unsuccessful.

    As the door is supplied commplete, it’s highly unlikely you can actually replace the seal as it will be moulded and sealed to the door at the factory, most are these days 🙁

    I suppose we will just have to put up with it until we can’t stand it any more and buy a new fridge. 🙁
