Hi all,
We’ve had a Hoover HDP 1D39W dishwasher for 12 months (it’s 2 weeks out of warranty). It started bleeping a week ago with an ‘EF’ error code (checked booklet and said Electrival fault: call customer service). We turned it off at the plug and on again and it cleared.
We went a week and all fine. Then yesterday 5 minutes into the wash I noticed water was leaking all over the floor – I switched it off and it was full of water (potentially a blockage) so I had to scoop the water out. Then when we sorted that and tried turning it back on it started the constant bleeping and ‘EF’ code again.
Could they be connected? There’s supposedly an anti-flood device so why did it flood out? Secondly, are there any common faults for this code? I rung Hoover and they want £130 for a repair (we only paid £199 for it a year ago) so feeling a little reluctant in case more goes wrong. Are we better off just buying a new machine?
