I would like to replace my broken icebox door on my Lec R750WS. I have the part including springs but cannot work out the best way to fit it to the mountings.

I thought I needed to remove the thermostat control cover and release one of the studs, but could not get the control knob and button off nor pop off the cover fixings.

I am sure this is a really easy job. If you know something that I don’t then I would be really grateful if you could help me with the best way to fit the new door.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Hi – This should work for you. Take a small screwdriver and push the central pin of the rivett into the thermostat housing. Then carefully with a knife remove the two rivetts outwards. Remove the whole evaporator door and its frame. Replace whatever damaged items you have to and refit in reverse. If you have spare pins use them, if not silicone the rivetts in their holes. Good luck
