Sorry – not sure of the model number.

We’ve recently moved our washing machine into the garage and it was working fine up until Wednesday night.
As I was loading the machine up the other night I noticed a tingling every time I touched the drum. After a couple of times of this happening I realised it felt as if the drum was “live”. I unplugged the machine and the problem stopped.
Don’t ask me why I did this but I set the load going and everything seemed to go ok until this morning when I noticed what looked like burn marks on my football top.
Now the question is – do we scrap the machine and get a new one or would it be possible to repair reasonably cheaply?

    Re: Problem with Hoover machine

    I doubt it’s the machine !

This is associated with a poor earth connection to the socket normally.

Please don’t plug anything else in to the socket(s) in your garage until an electrician has been called and rectified the problem.

    Dave.
