John Bloom dies

Only the older ones amongst us will remember this chap, when Rolls Razors Ltd went bust the service for his machines was taken over by Hotpoint at the time.

The Hotpoint twin tub of the time was modified into the twin six, the timer, stat, spin outlet, work top etc all removed to undercut the Rolls Rapide which along with Hoover doing something similar helped to push Rolls Razor and Bloom into bankruptcy.
