KeymasterHi
Could anyone offer some advice to the following problems:
I recently replaced the rubber door seal on my WVF2000 washer dryer. To do so, I turned the machine on its back and removed the front of the casing to get access to the jubliee clips. When I reassembled the machine I found the following had occured:
1. The machine when spinning appears to have gone out of ballance shaking like mad. Have checked the springs and dampers, but appear fine.
2. The dryer only gets hot, but the cloths are warm and damp when removed. This was working fine before the replacement of the seal. (I am just going to check I have the hoses on the correct way round as well)
3. The wash timer appears to get stuck on some settings.
Would be most grateful for any advice received.
Regards

I think the moral is not to turn a machine on its back unless absolutley nessesarry.

Make sure it is all unplugged before carrying out any work.

Best of luck I havent a clue, I have got one of those machines and my drier has been knackered from near day 1 but now there is a noise when on spin, if you get yours fixed perhaps you could come round and fix mine.
😕

Have fixed the balance issue by pushing had down on the drum to compress the dampers and then bouncing the drum a little to stablise the dampers. Have also fixed the timer problem by carefully turning the timer through its intire cycle one click at a time. It looks like one of the pins became jammed.
I have narrowed down the dryer problem to the pump, which although it works is not working efficitnetly enough to extract all the water from the machine. 😯
