Hello, I’ve had this tall 8 drawer freezer for around six years in my garage. Never had any issues with it but I’ve just popped out there to put some food in and noticed there’s ice down the back of the freezer – it’s just the middle section (not at the sides). I’ve also noticed the door doesn’t feel to be as firmly shut/sealed recently although no problems with food defrosting.

There is a lot of food in there and so I’d like to nip any potential issues in the bud and wondered what was obvious to try first

    Many thanks

Ice the ice solid or powdery?

I think it counts as powdery – comes kind of sticking up and comes off mostly when brushed a bit. It doesn’t seem like a frozen stream of spilled water or anything.

I have looked again and there’s more of it lower down

If it’s powdery then it’s air ingress into the cabinet so, door or seal will be faulty.

    K.
