    I have this dishwasher that flashes E1-F8 can anyone tell me what it means and a poss cure.

    shows up as a drain error

    checked waste pipe and pump because I thought it might have something to do with draining can find no blockages so how dose it sense that its empty.

    can let you have the manual if you let me have your email add

    I know some whirlpool units do the same as Bosch and sense the pump current to detect when its empty. that means if the pump wears it can think its still full

    You may need to change the OWI (480140101529) – I have had to change one for this fault – check that the lense is not dirty first.
    This is my theory on how it works : From Memory it appears to be 3 LEDs behind some moulded lenses with one receiver, I think that the machine will power each one in turn and depending on which one activates the receiver tells it how much water (or not) it has in it.
