ParticipantThe customer complained of machine not filling up with water to correct level and seems to produce a lot of lather. I checked it over and couldn’t find anything amiss except that there is a bit of lather even though no detergent in drawer. I thought maybe some residual detergent pod is stuck somewhere in the drum. I cleaned out the drain pump using the wet vac, no debris found just completely clean.
proceeded to put in detergent remover powder and put on hot wash to shift that that potential stuck detergent pod. The machine starts up, briefly drained then fill for few seconds and prompted to drain out. The door lock won’t release without the3 emergency release.
Checked the main pcb module, nothing unusual although it was repaired previously by EMW to remove the slug and restored it but that was a year ago. This machine has a induction motor.
Owner appear to assume that it was her relations who stayed in the house while on holiday may have done something to do with it such as overloading, etc.
I am a bit puzzled. Tried replacing the interlock and no avail, it got to be something along with failed triac if that is what I am thinking?
Any word of wisdom would be greatly appreciated in my direction?
Thanks Matt

Moderatordon’t know exactly which machine you have as there are a number of them but the one I found fault listings for has a fault code for pump triac shorts. Which means you should have a fault code
have you checked for pressure bell blockages ?
any fault codes showing ?

ParticipantNo fault code. It was working fine before I went to clean drain filter then it went to pot. Not checked pressure switch and tube as I didn’t think it would be the problem.

Moderatorwas only thinking if it was thinking water was still in machine might try pump it out. or it did not detect water as it filled and went into fault mode
but you say there are no fault codes so am at a bit of a loss
