Please help! We’ve got the part and no fingers left!
Trying to fit the door seal inside the machine (Haven’t got as far as the door!) we can’t get the gasket on, it springs off every time just before we get to the final bit, and it’s really hard to get it that far in the first place! There is a triangle on the inside of the seal and it’s impossible!
Solutions/advise please, we’ve been trying for hours and hours…put the door seal on first. make sure its secure on the drum then put the spring on
this is the service manual version but they say use soap but don’t use anything that can foam if it can get in the drum

We can’t get the door seal on at all never mind the spring. We have nearly succeeded in getting the inside onto the edge surrounding the drum, but when it gets to the ‘notch’ at the top (11 O’Clock) we can’t get the seal to fit at all.
We have tried lubrication and clamps without success it’s like it’s too small. I have two strong assistants and it is taking a lot of effort to not succeed in fitting it!
Photo’s attached are of replacement seal before being placed into machine and in position (but not fitted) in drum.I have referred to videos on youtube, but none refer to the JLWM1203 or similar. I don’t have any instructions as t how to remove the front of the machine, whether it’s possible or indeed useful, so we are trying to fit the seal through the door hole. It doesn’t have any attached pipes/vents.

espares hide the gen part numbers. from the picture door boot is a compatible one supplied by connect distribution.gen part number is 379 02 01-40 / 8
espares charged you £29.99 plus £4 carriage = 33.98
zanussi on the other hand has a gen original part for £34.21 + delivery – £37.19
not a lot more for a gen part
this site however has 3 options starting at £14.95 for a non gen part up to £23.95 for the gen part plus carriage

I know these can be a pig to fit and I can spend some time getting them on

seems to be correct part
as said before I struggle to fit these and I have done lots
it will fit although it seems it wont but as a novice you will struggle even more.

you could also see if Espares will refund you the difference as they say they will price match part for part. part number from the part supplier is GSK9144
