Ice maker not producing ice, mold not filling.
Customer reported that it occasionally beeped and made some king of a mechanical noise when the test button was held in but now does nothing.
Continuity across inlet solenoid, and water available at water dispenser
No blockages in water delivery tube to ice mold
Ice maker compartment temp sensor was reading about 8kOhms when I tested it, and it was reasonably cold. It also reduced in resistance when I breathed on it so I suspect it’s ok. Certainly doesn’t seem to be wildly out.
Ice compartment temp is minus 10C (with temp of fridge and freezer about 4 and minus 19 respectively) which I suspect is not low enough, however I’m basing this on my experience of the side by side Samsungs with the ice maker in the freezer. This one has the ice maker in separate compartment within the fridge.My suspicions are ice maker malfunction and/or too warm in ice maker compartment. Any thoughts? If temp too warm how is cold air channeled in – flap, diverter etc?
