    Hi.

Hard water area. I am having problems with water exiting from the detergent dispenser on initial fill. After initial fill, it is fine.

I have tried using vinegar in the conditioner compartment in an effort to try and ‘clean’ the fill tube but without success. Any suggestions please?

    It can’t alter.

What do you mean by “water exiting on initial fill”? Every fill is the same other than what valve is opened and that’s open/closed, it’s binary with only the two options.

BTW, vinegar etc is all old wives tale, complete hogwash that’s gained traction as an “accepted wisdom” on the internet but, rubbish all the same. Does little at all in the real world.

By initial fill, I mean when the soap powder is taken down into the drum. It is as though the fill channel/tube is obstructed/constricted by a build up of sediment of some sort.

I’ve tried the ‘curtain wire down the pipe’ trick but that is not bringing up anything apparent.

We have had the machine for about 10 – 15 years and has not been a problem until about 6 months ago. Nothing in the fitment or usage has changed.

    Thanks both.

It won’t alter on each fill in that case, it’s the same thing every time. All you can do is strip out the hose and inspect it.

Thanks for your help. That was what I was fearing.
