Model HJA8501 (which I believe is a Beko)
Just over two years old now and this machine has stopped taking the conditioner into the wash. I have checked both pipes from the inlet water valves are clear as are all the channels in the dispensing drawer. Both the solenoids measure 1.57ohms resistance so presumably both are OK?
What voltage do these solenoids operate on so I can do a live test on them? There are no markings on them.
Where do they get their power from, is there a circuit diagram available?
Any help will be most appreciated.June 23, 2019 at 4:49 pm #462161electrofix
Moderatorfor a start I suspect the solenoids are 1.57K ohm (not 1.57 ohms) and normally operate on 240volts but tech manual states valves are 3500 – 4500 ohms so I even think 1.57K is wrong
on most machines to take the fabric conditioner both valves are energised and the 2 water streams collide in the draw to force the flow to the correct draw. before you go any further check the ducts in the draw are not blocked. If they are the water pressure will not clear it

ParticipantThanks for that Dave. I’ve “blown” down both the inlet pipes to the drawer and both seem clear. I’ll check that resistance again though.

Moderatorblowing down the pipes is not a test. All water inlets into any appliance has to have an air break to stop contaminated water being sucked back into the water main if the mains fails. all your doing is blowing into the gap

Moderatorpipe A energises water goes to D
pipe B energises water goes to C
both A and B energises and water goes to E

ParticipantAh, that’s how the water gets to far right partition. I disconnected the two rubber pipes and blew into the container via the plastic pipe connectors and seemed clear but looking at the picture I was blowing into all three channels!
Started to remove the drawer holder just to make sure everything was clear, but couldn’t get the front panel off to access the left hand screw?June 23, 2019 at 9:21 pm #462166electrofix

ParticipantMany thanks again Dave, I’ll give it a go. It was there left hand side that I couldn’t get at!
I presume I have to remove the front panel before I can remove the detergent tray???June 24, 2019 at 4:57 pm #462168electrofix
Moderatorits a common problem
glad you sorted it
Dave
ps removed your pic. users can only up load smaller photos so that’s why it did not work very well
