Hi, thanks for reading. I have a fridge/freezer with an issue where the freezer is cooling but not the fridge. I have traced this to the defrost system. Thermal cutouts are ok. Defrost heater is ok. There is 217v on the terminal for the defrost heater connector. However, when I connect the heater and measure it in parallel, the voltage drops to near zero. Can anyone give me any advice as to where to look next. The big cap at the back or the PCB. What would I test for on the PCB to check if there is a fault. The rest of the fridge freezer is working fine.
