    hi,

    My SMEG SF4120MCB Combi Oven Microwave shuts off unexpectedly, stays off for a few days and then comes back on. But this time its not staying on. The last time it shut off the display went blank and no response from the two knobs. I took the back off to see if I could spot anything obvious, but nothing. Power coming in OK and various terminals on the back registering 240v. This time it stayed off for 2 days, after which the display came back flashing the clock. I managed to set the clock but when I opened the door the display shut off again and hasn’t come back on. Any ideas of what to check etc, Thanks.

    sounds like a board power supply fault. there are components on the board that lower the voltage from main 240 down to 12 volts or so. sounds like this circuit is faulty.
    from Smegs point of view its a complete board unless it can be repaired
