Whirlpool heat pump dryer no heat

Mod 857500516020 ,, impeller wasnt turning on motor shaft, replaced impeller now no heat , compressor takes ages to kick in, do these have to have damp clothes inside, I tried a timed program also any info cheers

remember its a heat pump dryer so you are getting waste heat from the compressor only as there is no element
