    I have collected 6ib Dryer from a Hairdressers and they need it back quickly, fixed a belt last week now capacitor needs replacing,
    It’s a 5UF, lowest one I have in stock is 8uf, can that damage the motor.
    i have put larger UF before, but not such a difference.

    Personally I would not fit an 8. The motor will have more starting power but will run hotter. Do you have a 12 or 13mfd to add in series with the 8?
