    Good afternoon.

It looks like I may have to change the heat pump on this model.

Any advice on procedure would be gratefully received as I’ve never done one.

    Thanks very much.

    Chris.

I can’t just tell form the model number but If its like all the modern BSH machines, you just need to remove the right hand side panel. Unplug the mains cable and remove the pcb. The heat pump is then directly in front of you. Pull it towards you and twist anti clockwise to remove the top hose and it comes straight out after you’ve removed the wiring. Theres a rubber fixing on the top of the heat pump that connects to the sump, to keep it all in place and stop vibration, just pull this off. Its pretty much the reverse procedure to install. It comes with a new jubilee clip for the hose but I’ve found from experience that it just pushes in nice and tight without the need for slackening the old clip or replacing with a jubilee. Its a really easy job and I can do them in 15 mins. It all becomes obvious when you see it, a little hard to explain. Hope this helps.
