Is there such a thing as a gas hob and oven but with an electric grill whereby the grill gets its power from a standard mains wall socket and not the red switch one supplied via 6amp.
Also looking at GAS ovens in Currys they all have a spec plaque with them stating they must be used with a red switched dedicated oven socket. Why is this when its only to power an internal light and ignition.

basically you can get away with a plug as long as the total load of the oven does not exceed the socket up to 3kw. if its over 2.5kw its best to fit a spur box as an oven draw current for long periods of time so sockets can get hot

so if you can only turn on a single element at a time your ok but if you can grill and use the oven at the same time and they are both electric then you need a dedicated circuit
