ParticipantHi.
prod number 914606106/01. Sometimes this machine will: set on, say, 40 degrees cotton wash, door locks, pump on, pauses for 8 secs then display goes to zero. door is locked unlocks after 2 to 3 mins. Then if you turn the selector to spin, just as an experiment, the door locks and the machine works normally! If set on any other programmes it will work fine, fills, tumbles, heats ect…. or on the other hand throw a hissy fit as described above – there is no pattern of success or faulure. Checked the usual suspects such as the heater and wash elements with megga but they are all ok – so curses!!. Noticed that the door i/lock has now been replaced, via aeg spares site, from a wait 3 minute to open to one of those click click type door switches, maybe they had an issue??? I have a new swt on order but anyone any other ideas please in case i`m barking up the wrong tree..October 25, 2019 at 10:53 am #464052electrofix
Moderatoryou cannot replace your interlock with the instant type. The board, wiring and software would be different
you lock is part no 124 03 49-01/7

ParticipantThanks for info and yes I arrived at that part number too the click click type switch was my memory failing!! New i/lock was fitted and the machine seemed to have worked ok for a couple of weeks but I cannot be sure that that is in fact the case. But now back to square one again. Anyone got any ideas please I am stuck. The only thing other than the dryer heater which had not gone to earth is the main pcb playing about but I am loathed to change it only to discover that too does not fix it.

Moderatorlooking at your old posts you seemed to have done a lot of different appliances so do you repair these for a living or are you just an enthusiastic amateur ?

ParticipantHi Dave. Well strictly speaking I am still in the trade but on the other hand I am more or less retired now. Since the esteemed site was updated I cannot seem to get on to the trade site hence my postings here.
