Hi – I hope someone can help. My washing machine won’t drain. I cleared the filter there were a few things stuck in there and the filter is cracked and so doesn’t attach to cap properly. I have run an empty cycle and a full cycle and there is still visibly a lot of water in the drum. I think the pump is working because I can see the propellor spinning on the empty cycle. After the initial cleaning of the filter barely any water is coming out of the little draining hose on the front of the machine. It is really tightly wedged into the space so I don’t think I can pull the machine out whilst it is full of water. I have a full load of clothes in there. Any ideas how I can get it to drain (or even open the door?!?) so I can get the clothes out?
i have resigned myself to the fact that I need to replace the machine – it is about 10 years old and getting less reliable…
thanks in advance, Gemmawell it sounds like its blocked so once you remove the blockage it should be fine
if its a standard door lock, turn off the power and the door will open after about 3 mins. if the water is above the door this water will fall out when you open it
