Hello:) I’m trawling thru the posts relating to this dryer, but i do kinda wonder whether my problem might be slightly different because i see the light go off for a bit, as explained further on. So, it has not worked properly for many years and has been idle since but lives in a clean dry room. I tried it this morning, it makes the right sounds, there is no heat coming into the drum. At first the “empty filter” light is permanently on, while it is spinning, then the machine… i dunno changes direction, or stops with heating for a minute or two (could that be the reversing bit?), and i observed the “empty filter” light switch off ! And then when the dryer resumed its initial spinning, the light came back on. I was observing this while i had the dryer empty, with both the little filter and larger metal honeycomb filter out, and i had vacuumed and dusted out where ever i could.

Is this likely an easy solve? I am wondering if it needs the back taken off and maybe just more fluff removed, and voila! Or am i better off saying saianara to it on monday? 🙂 If it needs parts, I’ll likely have to let it go, as I don’t know much about working on them, unless its something minor i could get an engineer friend to help me with.

Oh wow, could my issue really be as easy as this one? Would i be able to replace this part myself? I have a friend who;s husband is an engineer, perhaps they would be willing to fit it if i asked nicely. But first, i do wonder, if the problems sound identical, or if it could be something else?

Advice would be very much appreciated.
