The bearings on our 9-10 year old ISE W1607W appear to have gone as the machine is making a terrifying noise on spinning. It can get through the wash cycle OK. You can hear a sound like loose bearings moving if you spin the drum by hand.
We also think it’s the bearings because a local repairer very reluctantly came out to see the machine for a minor leak a few months ago, and said he could hear the bearings failing. But he wasn’t prepared to fix the machine at all because he’d never heard of ISE. He recommended running the machine until it failed completely, then get a new one. This is disappointing, given the original philosophy behind the ISE brand.
I have contacted a number of other local repairers, but as soon as I mention ISE, they’re not interested. That includes repairers I’ve searched for on this site.
Can anyone recommend a repairer in the Cheshire area who has some knowledge of and willingess to look at an ISE machine? If we can’t find anyone soon, it’ll have to be a brand new machine.
Thanks
