    Hi.
Problem started with washing machine today. Not draining on either of the Spin settings or the Drain setting. I presume pump has failed unless there is another known fault.

We normally hear the machine empty into the sink U bend. Now. No sounds whatsoever. Front filter is clear – it was full of water!

I’ve looked at the listed spares and none seem match this particular model – is it THAT old that spares are no longer available?

What is involved in changing the pump? I am an Engineer but in a different field.

Alternatively, any recommendations for a replacement machine please? Two person household.

    Thanks.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I rotated the impeller mechanically a couple of times. It did seem a bit stiff. I then set the machine to Drain and observed the impeller spinning.

I then gave it a liberal spray of silicone lubricant so hopefully some will have got onto the shaft.

    Machine now working.

The missus ain’t best pleased. She is the proverbial ‘doom-monger’ and wanted a new machine.:p

    Again.

    Thanks.
