ParticipantHi all,
We have recently moved and our new house has an integrated washer dryer – Candy CDB 754 DN.When you try to start any program, the door light blinks and you have to slam the door hard at which point the program starts.
When a program finishes, it is a bit hit and miss as to whether it will open.
Sometime sit does but usually you have to keep turning it to other programs and waiting, turning it off and waiting, back to a program etc until eventually it opens.
I haven’t been able to find a sure way to open it such as a certain program. It has given an error a couple of times, I think it was E07.
One thing I just thought of, I can check whether it is with either washing or drying programs that it doesn’t open.
Do you think I need to replace the door controller?
Many thanks,

Moderatorwhen it does not open try pushing the door. if its a mechanical problem rather than an electrical one
when you start it try the same thing. DONT slam it, it will damage the lock and you could blow up the timer and that will scrap it

ParticipantThanks Dave.
When it’s not opening, eventually I hear it click to release and it opens so I think it is not being released.
I’ve tried pushing it hard to get it going but that hasn’t worked so far, will give it a go again.November 15, 2019 at 12:01 pm #464639electrofix
Moderatorif it does release eventually then its likely a faulty door interlock

ParticipantGreat, thanks.
I’ve ordered a new one.
Is it hard to slide out integrated machines?
There is no isolation switch for the power.November 15, 2019 at 2:18 pm #464641electrofix
Moderatora lot of the time you will find the plug at the back of a cupboard
also when I fit them I take the rubber of the front of the case and there is normally enough room to change the lock without removing the machine

ParticipantThanks Dave, I’ll have a look if I can find a switch.

ModeratorI would check the pin on the door handle hasn’t slipped this is a common fault on these machines

ParticipantGood call. The door pin is o but the hinge had dropped a bit. If I close it now and apply a little bit of upward pressure on the door the light goes out.
i still need to figure out the opening but I have the part on order for £11 so will replace if it’s not sorted by then. -
