Hi, I have a Hotpoint TDWSF 83B EP Condenser Tumble dryer. A few days ago I had to rescue a bra underwire from behind the drum, which meant taking the top off. Since then it won’t dry properly on the usual settings.

When I start the dryer programme, it detects how long it will need e.g 1hr 30 mins, but after 5 – 10 mins this drops to 3 minutes and the cycle stops, with the clothes still wet.

The unit is heating up. I’ve checked the pipes to the water tank and they’re attached and not blocked (water is being collected). At the end of the cycle there are no errors displayed.

    Any ideas?

First thing to do would be to turn the power off & remove the top again, then carefully check that you haven’t dislodged or broken any wires. A good bright torch often helps.
