Hi all my first post since I’m at a loss with Hotpoint telephone help.

Does anyone have this oven or can help with the issue as I don’t think there is a problem with the oven just a safety headache…..

The issue is if I am cooking something that takes 1 hour to cook and something else that takes 30mins to cook when the hour food has cooked for 30mins and I want to put my other food into the oven to cook once I open the oven door the oven beeps to turn off and I lose all the timings and the program times that I had set so to continue cooking I have to set the oven back up to cook again from scratch.

Or if something is on the oven and I want to just check it’s cooked and open the door it turns off and and it returns to the time display and again I have to re enter the mode and cooking times again.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thankyou Ste

Thanks for that it doesnt seem to be a fault i think it is a safety feature as it states in the booklet “The cooling fan may switch itself on every so often during cooking in order to reduce energy consumption . Once cooking is complete and the oven has been switched off, the cooling fan may continue to run for a
certain period of time . When the oven door is opened during cooking, the heating elements switch off”

It just seems crazy to check or to add food into this oven you have to program all the settings everytime the door is opened during cooking.

I did say it turns off but it more of a reset the oven returns to the state it was before i wanted to use it if that makes sense
