Hi, the push button on the front of my zanussi for the “normal” wash has been pressed so many times that it remains depressed. It is not affecting performance but for aesthetic reasons, can it be fixed? If so is it an easy and/or cheap diy job or does someone have to be called in? Thanks.

It’s usually a snap fit into the panel, but we will not be able to advise further without the model number…………….

If you are lucky, the switch will have slipped out of the clips and can be snapped back into place. If you are unlucky the lugs will have broken and the console panel will need replacing.

    P/no is 1525744-81/7 – £55.88 😯 – plus VAT etc.

    Power off before further investigations.

Thanks. Like I said, it is cosmetic only; it still works, so it’s a job that can wait till a rainy day; there’s no rush. Is it easy to take the front off? Thanks,

You might find that the main board is the problem – it has little sprung plastic bits which the selector buttons press against and these can snap. If it’s just a cosmetic issue then i would just put up with it.
