    Hi All,
    I have diagnosed that the thermostat on my chest freezer is faulty and have now acquired a new thermostat.
    The trouble is that I cannot remove the old one from the freezer as the probe seems to be stuck and will not pull out (there is no access to it from inside the freezer either).

    Would anyone have any experience with removing these type of thermostats please.

    have you defrosted it ?

    Hi Dave,
    thanks for replying, I completely defrosted it for a day following your suggestion and now the thermostat sensor slides out easily, it must have been frozen in place. Thanks a lot for your assistance.
