    Whirlpool Awz8577…857585715071 is completely dead. Control module required. Does anyone have part no and does it come programmed.Thanks. Paul

    Have you opened the board as it sounds like a power supply failure which may be fixable ?

    for some reason Connect say this is unprogrammed so I did a screen dump

    Thanks for reply Dave. Had a look at board. Nothing obvious. I see Aswo sell a resistor as a related item when you put board part no in search. Any tips on what to check on board. Paul.

    your looking for a power supply

    probably a switch mode power supply, if yes there will be a safety resistor normally 30 to 100 ohms . this feeds power into the electronics so if its blown so will be the switch mode chip which will be a 7 leg chip soldered to the board. These chips are really cheap so always worth a punt

    if the resistor is not blown you would need to measure the voltage coming out of the chip. look for lower voltage smoothing capacitors and measure voltage with power on
    say you expect 12V if there is 12v then power supply is ok and board gone. If voltage goes up and down then power supply ok but board blown. if you get 0V then power supply may be your fault
