    Just installed a new machine for my mum. It was a right pain routing the waste pipe behind a cupboard and up to the connection under the sink. The only way I could do it was to remove the clip which held the waist pipe to the back panel of the machine. So now, the waste water comes out of the machine and instead of moving up vertically for about 60 cm, it comes out horizontally. This was what the old hotpoint it replaced did, and it wasn’t an issue. However, the instructions on the new machine said not to remove the clip holding the waste hose tot the machine, so I am concerned it might be an issue. Can anyone shed light on this for me. ?

    Assuming the connection point under the sink is above the 60cm point there will be no problem.

    Thanks Murv. Just checked and it is 70cm so should be okay.
