ParticipantHi i am now pulling my hair out. Initially had E14 error. Removed inlet matrix and thoroughly cleaned. Turned dishwasher on, ran a 29 min program but it stopped at 14 mins from the end with tap light, then went to 1 min and emptied.
removed reed switch used opposing magnet and reed switch contact made, so seems ok. Refitted switch and tested unit started, passed 5v to the reed switch, then water intake started, reed switch made (5v both sides) system happy and continued, again until 14 mins from the end and tap light came on then went to 1 min emptied and shut off. restarted unit again in program mode (PO on display) set to P1 to find last error code and E14 came up. There is no water inside base of unit so float switch not the problem.
When i started dishwasher again pump started recirculate water then pumped out. During this phase there was 5v at reed switch, but as soon as water intake starts there is no power to the reed switch, only .05v. I am truly stumped, so voila here i am.
Any help would be appreciated.
As a note does anybody know what all the program (PO) modes do they are 1-7. Also i noticed there is C mode ???Cheers

Moderatorjust because the reed sw seems to be functioning does not mean its ok. it can misfire causing this problem
also check wires from sw back to the board as had a few eaten by rodents

ParticipantHi Dave thanks for reply. The plot thickens…..
Reset unit again now all lights are on and lots of strange things are happening. It started by the display showing E18 then started cycle weird spray bar noises going really fast then stopped. Display then changed to E08 more weird washing sounds i have never heard in the 10 years i have owned this unit. then H on display followed by E15 with daily program light flashing really fast and rapid button light flashing slow and tap light flashing fast. The sounds from inside were getting worse. Then display showed either a 5: or S: with 17.then 18, 23 and so on after it and lots more number changing quite quickly. I pressed stop/start button but nothing happened and before i could pull the plug loud sound of rushing water and yep, water all over the floor. I think it is kaput. I have been having problems with it for about 10 days. Wife is now fed up with no dishwasher so bit the bullet and purchased a Whirlpool WFC3C24PXUK, hope that was the right choice, anyway to late now arrives Friday.
Thanks anyway for the reply Dave appreciate the help.Styl3r [h=3][/h]

Moderatorsound like a good decision as your unit seems to have every known fault at the same time
if it was human it would need a mental health team

ParticipantNice reply Dave. I tried another 29 min cycle and 5v to reed switch as soon as program starts, whilst unit get rid of excess waste water. As soon as solenoid opens to allow water into the unit, there is 0v at reed switch so seems like a programmer fault. Seems like the sequence is all out of kilter.
My technical opinion; it’s knackered, oh well had 10 pretty hard years labour so not bad. Apart from this never had an issue with it.Thank for the advise Dave much appreciated, oh yeah and the humour 🙂
cheers

ParticipantAs a footnote why don’t manufacturers tell you how to get into program mode and service mode (PO or S) As these are quite useful when the unit doesn’t work and doesn’t have an error code on the display. Mine was initially showing the tap light lit no error code, as soon as i went into program mode for last known fault (P1) E14 was displayed. Would make diagnostics a damn site easier.

Moderatorno problem m8
its a fight to get any sort of info or help from the manufacturers these day as they all hide behind health and safety. Something on the lines of if they tell you how to do it and you get hurt they could be liable. Bosch, Siemans is one of those companies so I fly by the seat of my pants coupled with 40 years experience every day
And the Humour, Well am a Scouser after all lol
