    i have a 6 year old bush ag66tw gas cooker. lifting the splashback allows gas to flow lowered position means no gas flow. my problem is the splashback will not stay up .at the moment we have it propped up with a20 inch piece of 2×1 timber. any ideas much appreciated

    well it sounds like a spring problem

    the bad news is you have a Bush product so the brand name is owned by Sainsbury so parts can be very hard to get

    That one’s a Vestel machine to find parts I need the long serial number around the door opening. It’s probably the lid springs and/or hinges.

    Bush is Argos’s own brand Dave 😉

    and Sainsbury own Argos so much the same thing

    True. But if you ask for Bush in Sainsbury’s you’d get a bunch of herbs. 😉
