    Hi all,
    My washer dryer malfunctioned last night, Knob rotating consatantly. 🙁
    Found your informative site, and read a bit. Problem appears to be stuck on Wash cycle, & does not move on. Checked flashing light & appears to flash 7 times, Can anyone help me !

    Press the ‘Search’ button within this forum for ‘Heater’ and ‘Heater Relay’ problems…..that may well be your machines problem 🙁

    Don’t you just hate modern technology !
    Now my ariston has stopped flashing 7 and changed to 5 does this code mean somethig else ?
    Please help

    It could still be related, have you checked the filter etc ?

    Yep, originally i found some coins in the filter, removed them wow 40p. Checked fan it’s ok butu machine still likes to flash and just sticks on the one selected function.

    Try resetting it 😀

    Tried a reset & still not working, called a pro ou & he replaced heater but still not working now needs a control panel !

    7 flashes is[b] heater related, but at the computer board end, so he may well be on the right track there. 5 is linked to the water level control system – the level switch may not be working correctly, or the pipework blocked.

    Power off if you are investigating further.

    Just thought i’d give you all an update Machine is now working after two visits one heater replacement & one new control module.
    But worsty of all plus a £133 repair bill.

    After looking on this site I must say that the ariston 2000 is the WORST machine ever.

    PS Was my repair costs normal ?
    Also they kept my original control panel & i believe said that they where sent in for repair.

    It’s about right for the work carried out, yes.

    Very likely, it’s a bit cheaper than a new board otherwise your repair bill would have been quite a bit higher 😉
