    Hi

I have an Ikea Renlig DW60 Dishwasher which has abruptly stopped running wash cycles.

Interestingly it will run a rinse program but not any of the wash programs.

The drain pump is working and the fill valve is working etc but only on the rinse cycle. It reacts to the door switch and presumably any float sensors if it has them are working.

The problem seems to be related to a function of the wash programs only.

The 2 beep error, according to the manual relates to a blocked drain hose or sink drain spigot but the unit does drain so it’s a bit of a mystery.

    Thanks for your help.

    yes Electrolux built machine

fault 2 is a drain related problem but all it means is the machine thinks it has not drained whether it has or not is open to experiment

if it faults out and there is water left in the machine then its a blockage ie the discharge rate is too slow

if its empty then there is a pressure operated switch that detects water and if this is blocked with gunge either in the pressure chamber or the hose to the switch then the machine will think its still full and fault out

Had a poke about and managed to get it to function again if only for 2 cycles.
I’ve had nearly 9 years out of it with only 1 drain pump replacement in that time.
Spent all of today trying to get it going again so I reckon that’s a good run all said.

I’ll retire it and get a new unit. Would anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks again Dave for youur help.

    C
