    Hi, I recently re-attached a paddle on my Hoover DYN8164D-80 Washing machine. Involved a bit of dismantling and rebuilding. When I put it all back together the panel read all sorts of weird stuff, not your usual error codes. Now it’s settled down a bit and it just reads like the usual programmes – but they don’t match the selector choice and it won’t start anyway. Does this make sense – any ideas? I’ve been able to keep this machine for years thanks to your help. James

    check the leads and connection between boards

    did it get wet while you were doing the paddle job ?

    Thanks Dave… it probably did get wet. In the last few years I’ve replaced element, brushes (twice) and repaired a hole in the drum, the machine has now been pronounced dead. Should have posted earlier. Washing waits for no man.
