Paul,
The part number is 806890373.
The best place to get them is UKW 😀
Email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for a better price.Craig

£15.80 from Smeg but with the postage/timescale etc, Connect is probably the best bet TBH 😉

There are six discount structures 1 being hardly any discount at all for infrequent buyers 6 being the best for very high turnover accounts.
When CES was placed on the repair registry we moved from 6 across the board to 3/4 on genuine merloni/hotpoint and lux group, and varients on all the others, all pattern spares remained at 6.
I have the area rep and his boss visiting next week to rectify as we re-sell more spares than we could possibly use on repairs, so either they sort the discount structure correctly or the repairs will stop, simple really 😉
In the meantime, Washvac and Qualtex gain more and more orders 😆

What Rep?
Look, I’m a sole trader and spend typically £12-1500 a month on spares. I really don’t care about the odd pennies difference between common bearing kits, pump motors, brushes and the like – we all know that they’re so freely available the price will level out. What gets up my nose is the wilful overpricing of “less common” spares – dishwasher spares are a very good example. I keep a selection of stuff on the van, but not many circulation pumps for instance – high-ish value, low demand items. I had cause to buy a motor for a Servis dishwasher not long ago – I could get it in three different guises from Connect, ranging from £180 down to £93. A quiet discussion with a certain spares wiz on this site revealed that he could get the same motor for £60. It would have been worth getting him to buy it and spend the fiver to post it up here.
My experiences in previous employment in purchasing in this business have been very revealing. If we take the above example, be assured that the appliance maker didn’t pay more than £15 for that motor. That a volume purchaser has to pay £60 for it is bad enough – why the hell should I put another £33 free and gratis into Connects pocket for being a sole trader? Fortunately the job was not urgent and a local wholesaler obliged at around £70. Much more and the job would have been lost, and nobody would have got anything!
Central purchasing anyone? We’ve looked at it before, we know we’re getting ripped off left right and centre, what are waiting for? Central account, sub account as your delivery address, pay a small monthly fee to UKW for the admin – got to make sense.
I still get through 10 pairs of 161460s a week as a sole trader, there are 450 ish trade members – you do the math……..
Cheers,
Chris.May 22, 2005 at 5:15 pm #135300streetlighter

Thanks guys
Thats half price 😯
Criss have you tryed making up a order with that part on it and then just doing a price ckeck because this comes up with a different price than the price check for a part on its own on the part page.
i.e.
When I do a live info check it cost me £24. When I do a current order PRICE AND AVAILABILITY check it cost me £21. 😆
The £21 is what I pay on that orderPaul
