    Hi all,

my beko 8230 tumble dryer keeps tripping the mains electric when I push the on button. Was working fine before. I have changed the on off switch as this was the first thing to try according to another website but that did not work. I have ordered a new mains filter so will try that when it arrives, however the one that is already on there visually looks ok. Does anyone know if that should fix the issue and, if not, does anyone know what I should try next?

    thanks for your help

unlikely to be the mains filter as only trips when its started

first thing I would check would be the element. Beko had problems with one of the thermostats on the element and modified it to stop this happening

Thanks Dave, I will try the filter when it arrives as already ordered and then see about the element…is that hard to get at?
