ParticipantI’ve got a TDA140C condensor drier which has been beeping mid cycle and stopping the programme with the ‘clean airways’ light showing. It’s been getting worse over the last year so that the dryer is nearly unusable. Here is what I’ve tried so far:
1. Cleaning filters and making sure water container is empty.
2. Taking out the condensor and washing it under the tap (repeatedly)
3. Taking the front and back off the dryer and vacuuming every crevice I could see to remove fluff. Some of these have worked for a while, but the problem always returns.
Is there likely to be a faulty sensor which needs replacing, or something else I’ve missed? Is it worth me replacing the temperature sensor?

Moderatorif its all clear its got to be one of the sensors and hopefully not a board fault

ParticipantThanks. Do you know which sensor to try replacing first? Am I right in thinking that there is a temp sensor which is on the back, and a moisture sensor?

Moderatormoisture sensor is part of the drum and I don’t think it will be that
there should be 2 sensors
one on the heater and another in the duct under the filterhave you taken out and cleaned properly the filters round the door frame. These can get clogged and sometimes need a wash

ParticipantFinally got around to looking at this again!
We have cleaned everything (all filters etc) and it’s still beeping. It normally beeps about 5 minutes into the programme, just after the warm air starts blowing out of the vent at the bottom. If you reset it and start it again, after about the 5-6th attempt the programme will go through to completion.
Does that sound like temp sensor? If so, do you have a link I can use to order the correct one from you?
Thanks,
Iain

ParticipantThanks. What’s the best way to do that? I’ve looked at the Miele site and they only seem to have filters and stuff. Is there a special repair tech site?
