ParticipantAfternoon All,
First time posting, and really hoping someone can help. I own a Hoover Dynamic Next Tumble Dryer (DXC9DG-80), which has been great until last weekend. During a cycle, all the lights started flashing, and a E05 error code came up on the display. I have tried unplugging for several hours, and trying to start another cycle, but this error code, and lights flashing, starts after about 30 seconds. Anyone experienced same/similar issues? What is it likely to be? And is it relatively easy to fix/repair? I do have a background in electronics, but not on white goods etc.
Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Moderatorerror 5 seems to be
Front NTC (thermistor) short or open circuit
could be faulty or a broken wire. or it could be the board faulty you would need to check it to seelooks like it should be this one

ParticipantGood morning All/Electrofix,
I wanted to follow up on the fault I first mentioned above. After taking advice, and also researching the fault in depth myself, I thought I would take a punt on the fault being linked to the NTC Thermistor at the front of the dryer. With the part being roughly £10, I thought it was worth a shot. So yesterday spent a little while taking aprt my dryer, and replacing the ntc stat. I Put most of it back together, plugged it in, and turned it on. After about 15-20 seconds, the whole display lit up again with the same “E05” fault code.
I can see that there is a chance it could be the board from previous comments. How do I go about checking this? And is it likely to be a very specific part of the board (single component etc)? Any assistance is very much appreciated, as my utility room is currently out of bounds with a dismantled dryer taking over. I appreciate the board is a little more technical to resolve than the NTC stat, but hoping I can still cure this fault myself, before the wife goes out and buys a new one!!
Thank you all in advance.
Paul

Moderatordid you also check the wiring from the ntc to the board to rule out broken wires

Participantdid you ever get it fixed Dingleby9 ? – I had my hoover DXC9DG-80 all apart a couple of days ago to give it a real good vacuum out and noticed I think it were 3 NTC sensors in the dryer (apart from the ones on the heater unit) 2 at the bottom front of the drum (one has plastic cover and the other a metal face) and then once the drum is taking out there is another one bottom left at the back on the condenser body .
