    Hi All,

In need of help. Last week my dishwasher decided to give up the ghost on me. It sometimes decides to try and run then cut out after several minutes. I’m assuming that the internal water level is triggering the safety cut out mechanism.

I’ve emptied out the sump multiple times and checked the filter. Removed the pump latch and checked the impellars to check they are running freely, and today I swapped out the waste water pump. Still no joy.

Any ideas would be appreciated before I have to purchase a new machine.

    Hi Dave,

Yes, the check water light is coming during the cycle, or at least it was. I’ve been through the manual and checked everything I can, kinked hose, water pressure etc etc.

    Thanks.

As the machine takes on water its counted in by a small switch. These switches fail and if the unit senses that pulses from the switch are not regular it aborts the programme and pumps out

Dave, would this cause the pump to cut out also. When the machine stops, the sump plus an additional quantity of liquid remains?

Dave, is there any process of elimination I can go through to pinpoint the issue?

my first job is to check it will pump out

when you select a new programme the first thing it does is pump out. so add a couple of pints of water, select a new programme ( you may have to cancel the prog first if one is half way through) then see if it pumps out that water
