ParticipantHi,
I have had a Beko DW603 bishwasher for roughly 3 years and now it won’t start any programs.
I first noticed that the base was filled with water. I’m not sure what kind of blockage there was to stop drainage but I can’t find any problem and water seems to be able to run from the dishwasher to the drainage tube. There was no change are emptying the water.
I have tried to run the test progam (hold start button, turn on, wait for all lights to flash, press start, close door) and you hear the first sounds of the pump but they stop after 5-10 seconds and then nothing else happens. Upon open I can see that P6 is turned on. Does anyone know what this means?
Is there anything else I should try?
Thanks,
Mike

Moderatorits hard to make sense of some Beko info but if it is fault 6 then its the overflow switch. if there is no water underneath where the motor is check the overflow switch is functioning

ParticipantHi Dave,
Thank you for the help.
I took the front bottom panel off to get to the switch and saw that there was quite a bit of water downthere. I assume this happened when the drainage got blocked. I tried to remove all of the water and then ran the test again. This time it did the drainage test and moved on to the fill test. I think it then got as far as the second drainage test before failing. I assume it failed because I left it 40 minutes and it seemed to have stopped doing anything. When I opened the door there were no fault codes but it was full of water again.I assume this means the drainage pump isn’t working?

ParticipantThanks for your help again.
Any idea how you remove the drain pump?
Do you need to take the front panel off ?

ModeratorTake front panel off and it has a latch that has to be unclipped then it unlocks anti clockwise just less then a quarter turn
cant find a decent pic close up but you can see the clip that locks it

ParticipantThank you Dave.
I got it of but couldn’t see any problems and it spins freely.
After putting it back together I re-ran the test program but it still seems to stop at the same place.
It is weird that the tet program doesn’t seem to finish becasue when you open the door it is showing the pause symbol.

ParticipantIt started the programme and seemed to be going for the cycle.
I never heard it beep to finished so I checked it 3hrs later. The bottom is completely full of water. Doesn’t look like it drained anything.

ParticipantOk, I will do that this afternoon.
From what I can tell from the previous attempt, it can fill and heat but it cannot circulate the water or drain it.
