ParticipantHi
Have an integrated aeg favorit f34502.
It’s been continually draining with 3 beeps indicating an error, anti flood activated.
I’ve dried it out a underneath and again after 3 or 4 days the same thing happens.
I’ve taken the left side off and cleaned the cassette and the soft water filter/resiover thing.
The filter resiover has filled about 1/5 full after wash 1, after wash 2 it’s still about 1/5 full.
Should this resivour have an amount of water that remains in it?
And how do I know when the software filter should need replaced? Also anything else I should check ?
Thanks

Moderatorthere are 2 reasons why this unit keeps giving this error
1 there is a modification to the pressure switch as the original gets blocked. would need to see a pic of underneath the filter to check if it needs it
2 at the top of the machine is a steam vent. this has been modified to water getting out from serial no 035xxxxx. if yours is before it probably needs changing

ParticipantThanks for the reply,
checked the serial number and it’s starting 410.Cant seem to due to upload pics size limits ?
Is it on the underside of the filter between flood floor and main body of dishwasher or from within the machine with the filter removed ?

ParticipantYeah, anti flood come on every 3 / 4 days over last 2 weeks after being dried up.
The soft water reservoir is retaining water , not sure if it should ?
I think its maybe building up in the soft water reservior and then leaking from there as there is some holes on the part that meets the water cassette that appear to be designed for water release

Moderatorthe salt reservoir is always full don’t worry about that
it sounds like you have a leak
you need to run it with the covers off and try and find where its coming fromDave

ParticipantThanks
Been running with the covers off this week, been 3 cycles.
No apparent leak and zero water in flood tray.
I did clean the soft waters/ salt resivour , unsure if that’s made any difference.
I’ll report back after a few more cycles

Moderatorwhen you say you cleaned the soft waters reservoir what did you do
the brown stuff in this reservoir is an imortant part of the process and must not be removed

Moderatorthe salt container cant overflow so don’t worry about water height in there
I have opened lot where water flows out when you remove lid

ParticipantAn update
Now completed 10 wash cycles and no further leaks.
The salt container was full of water from about cycle 7-9. After cycle 10 its fully emptied.
The only thing different is the position as it’s pulled out. This may have changed position / efficiency of the drain hose as it does seem quite long.
I’ll reposition tomorrow and see how it goes.
Thanks for your help so far
