Anyone know what mods they are doing on the latest recall ? I have a customer who doesn”t want to wait and asked me to do it. I’m very loathed to get involved but curious to know what they are doing ? I understand its to do with interlocks burning during heating cycle and i did replace this interlock 6 months back because it hadf burnt out !

Thanks, i hadn’t seen that thread ( even though i did a search ! ). I carried out that repair, new interlock and amp tags, 6 months ago so should be fine.Hopefully i can reassure her but still allow whirlpool to come and look when they can

Why would you risk getting involved?
The repercussions don’t bear thinking about.

found another tumble dryer today. was called out to fit a belt and its un modified. quite a lot of lint at the rear as well so they are lucky

told them to ring Hotpoint and get it swopped as its also cheaper than a repair

Totally agree, won’t be getting involved and have advised to wait for whirlpool to arrange visit
